1) Back to "Settings"
2) "Scrollbar" - pressing the bar shows further settings
3) Activate or deactivate the respective setting (tick the box!)

If there is a * in front of the text, the text can be pressed for further settings.

Possible boot settings:

Block OBD2 socket: If a code for locking the display has already been assigned, this option can be activated. Each time the display is started, this code is now required, as long as it is not entered, this function cannot be deactivated again and communication with the engine control and CAS is very difficult via the diagnostic interface (OBD2).

Start last page: The DataDisplay boots with the last selected page instead of jumping to the main menu.

Active Sound Design: If the vehicle has "Active Sound Desing" (fake engine noise from the speakers), this can be deactivated.

* DTC activated-OEM: E-series function. The preselection can be made by pressing on the text whether the DTC should already be switched off with the DataDisplay boot. The DTC button is simulated. DTC = short press of the button, DSC = long press of the button

* Needle sweep: Pressing the text opens the menu for setting the speedometer deflection function:

1) Back to the start settings
2) Setting for the speed to wipe the needle
3) Setting for the rpm to wipe the needle
4) Save and test the settings

Sound tuning off: F-series function. If the vehicle has "sound tuning" (sporty sound of the engine by popping / bubbling when accelerating, which is active in Sport + mode, for example), this function can be deactivated.

* Boot logo 0.0 [s]: The time can be changed by pressing on the text and when activated, the boot logo remains on the display for a longer period of time.

Clear fault at start: Clear the engine fault memory at start.

* Delete-OPF Level 1: If the gasoline particulate filter has been removed and the optional OPF-Delete cable set has been installed, the function for suppressing the engine control lamp and emergency operation can be activated. Pressing the text selects the strength of the values to be simulated.

Special-Settings:

Delete-R: Suppresses the engine control lamp in the event of faulty pre-cat.

Relay control: Activates the option of relay control (if an optional relay extension is installed) to switch the relays.

Exhaust flap: Activates the function to control the vehicle's standard exhaust flap via the DataDisplay.

When the exhaust flap is switched on for the first time, it is pointed out again that this function may not be permitted in your country:

1) Do not display this message again when switching the exhaust flap
2) Cancel, the exhaust flap is not switched
3) Confirm and switch the exhaust flap

Oil temperature sensor: If an external oil temperature sensor has been installed, the oil temperature is then displayed with this value.

Exhaust gas temp. Sensor: If an external exhaust gas temperature sensor has been installed, the exhaust gas temperature is then displayed with this value.

TMAP sensor scaled: N54 option. At higher boost pressures, the engine software is adjusted and the engine control system believes it has less boost pressure than is actually the case. By activating this option, the DataDisplay calculates the real boost pressure.

Delete DMTL: F series function when using the engine control software from US models. Suppresses the tank leakage error message.

Ext. Oil pressure sensor: If an extra oil pressure sensor is installed, this can be activated here.

* Ext. Pressure sensor BMW / Zada: When converting to turbo or compressor, an external pressure sensor can be connected to the controller. This function activates the pressure sensor and then shows the boost pressure in the vehicle status.

1/2 Manifold pressure sensors: With connected manifold pressure sensors (use of sensors from the X5 M50d).

Ext. Diff.Temp sensor: Activation of an external temperature sensor for the rear axle differential

* Shiftlight: Activates the shiftlight.

1) Activate to switch a relay (with optional relay expansion card)
2) Activate the display via the indicators in the instrument cluster
3) Press to select the respective relay
4) Select the function of the turn signals - double flashing, steady on, defect flashing
5) Setting the rpm to activate the shift light (the shift light remains active for a maximum of 2 seconds)

* Limits activated: Activates the "Limits" function. The limits are set by pressing the text:

Up to 3 values can be linked together.

1) Opens the limit setup to set what should happen when the limit is reached
2) The value is selected by pressing the button
3) Set whether the value larger or smaller should trigger the limit
4) The value is set with the + and - buttons
5) Link with a second or third value (AND / OR)
6) Shows the actual function. In this example: If (Limit 1 AND Limit 2) OR Limit 3 is reached ...
7) Switch to a second limit instance that works independently of the first limit

Limit Setup:

The Limit Setup sets what should happen when the respective limit is reached.

Show Warning: Displays a warning page.

Switch relay: Switches the respective relay when the limit is reached (for additional injection or the like)

1) Shows which limit has triggered
2) If the limit is undershot, the message disappears automatically and changes to the last page. Pressing the warning also disappears until the limit is triggered again.

Example of a sensible setting for warning if the fuel supply is running at your limits:

Accelerator pedal position> 80%

AND

Rail pressure <120 bar

AND

RPM > 4000 rpm

The accelerator pedal position should always be taken into account so that the limit is not inadvertently triggered when the vehicle is stationary.

Global Settings:

Brightness: Opens the menu to adjust the brightness:

1) Switches to manual brightness settings
2) Minimum value of the display brightness when the vehicle outputs 0% brightness
3) Maximum value of the display brightness when the vehicle outputs 100% brightness
4) Current vehicle brightness value
5) Current brightness value of the display

1) Switches to the settings for automatic brightness control
2) Manual brightness setting
3) Current vehicle brightness value
4) Current brightness value of the display

Color setup: Opens the menu to make various color settings.

1) Select which texts should be displayed with the selected color (4). Headings / texts / values / units
2) Color selection for the temperatures (water, oil and intake air) - see below
3) Preview the text color
4) Predefined colors for the selected text (can also be changed via the HMI file during an update)

Color selection of temperatures:

1) Changes between water, oil and intake air temperature
2) Setting until how many ° C the color appears red and then turns yellow
3) Setting until how many ° C the color yellow appears and then turns green
4) Shows the values when the color of the respective value is shown green
5) Setting from how many ° C the color is displayed in yellow again
6) Setting from how many ° C the color is displayed in red again
7) Back to global settings

Note: In the case of intake air temperature - the colder the better - this is why only green is shown here until it turns yellow and red

Speed Offset: The speed adjustment is necessary to get the most accurate time measurement possible. The DataDisplay has a resolution / accuracy of about 20-50ms.

The wheel speed sensors of the non-driven axle are used as a signal of the speed, or the average of all 4 wheels for all-wheel drive vehicles. Since there are differences depending on the wheel / tire combination, the DataDisplay is adjusted according to GPS in order to obtain exact values.

The adjustment must take place at around 100 km / h and 200 km / h.

1) Shows the current speed that the DataDisplay receives from the vehicle
2) Shows the GPS signal (if issued by the vehicle)
3) When driving at a constant speed of approx. 100 km / h with + and - match the two speeds on the display
3) When driving at a constant speed of approx. 200 km / h with + and - match the two speeds on the display

If no GPS signal arrives on the DataDisplay (No. 2 is missing), an app can also be used on the smartphone that shows the current speed using GPS signals.

The settings are saved when you leave the page and should be checked and, if necessary, adjusted after changing the wheels.

Units / Language: Opens the menu to set language and units.

1) Change language (depending on the language package installed, there are always 3 languages to choose from)
2) Selection of units (PS / KW / HP, Nm / ft-lb, bar / psi, ° C / ° F, kmh / mph, g / m / s, kg / h / g / sec, Lambda / AFR)
3) Switch to the metric system (e.g. meter)
4) Switch to the imperial system (e.g. foot)

Torque Offset: Opens the menu for balancing the displayed torque on the DataDisplay

1) Shows the maximum detected torque which is output by the engine control.
2) With + and - a factor can be set which adjusts the torque shown on the DataDisplay.

This is not necessary with standard engine software, but with improper tuning after which the engine control contains incorrect values and outputs them to the vehicle (and the DataDisplay).

Exhaustflap setup: Opens a menu for various settings of the exhaust flap.

1) At start: Here the state of the exhaust flap can be selected after starting the display:
Last state: The DataDisplay remembers the state of the exhaust flap which was selected and switches the flap back there
Flap open: The flap is initially open each time the DataDisplay is started
Flap closed: The flap is initially closed after each start of the DataDisplay
Flap Auto: After every start of the DataDisplay the flap is initially on Auto (The vehicle controls the flap - series)

2) Silent Mode: If this function is activated, the exhaust flap is closed for 2 minutes each time the display is started and then changes back to the "At start" state.

3) Switching the exhaust flap via the multifunction steering wheel:
Pressing the recycle bin deletes the learned key or allows the key to be selected.
E-series: Press the trash, press any button on the steering wheel to save the button
F series: press trash, press and hold RES button on steering wheel (1 second)
By pressing (and holding for about 1 second) you now switch the different modes of the exhaust flap: Open / Close / Auto
The combination instrument provides feedback on the status via the turn signals:
Left turn signal: flap OPEN
Right turn signal: flap CLOSED
Both indicators: flap AUTO

New function "Street Mode":

Since it can happen that you forget to flash a street-legal version when leaving a racetrack or other restricted area, we decided to install a function that makes it impossible to accidentally control the exhaust flap.

The "Street Mode" function is only available if a code to unlock the display has already been assigned.

When you activate street mode for the first time, you will be asked to enter a code to unlock the flap function. It is not advisable to assign the same code that is used to unlock the DataDisplay.

When street mode is active, you now have 2 options to completely remove the exhaust flap from the data display:

- Press and hold the icon for controlling the exhaust flap in the main menu (at least 3 seconds)

- Press and hold the learned multifunction steering wheel button (at least 3 seconds)

Now the function for controlling the exhaust flap is completely deactivated.

To reactivate the exhaust flap control:

- Lock screen (press lock icon in main menu)

- Enter the selected code to unlock the exhaust flap control (if the code is correct, the message "Street-Mode OFF" appears in red at the top right

- Unlock the display with the actual unlock code

System Settings:

Factory Reset: Resets the DataDisplay to the factory settings. All settings are deleted and it starts again with the initial setup

Reboot: Restarts the DataDisplay
