1. Separate Collection of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

At the end of its service life, electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste, in particular household waste.

The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol indicates that the relevant device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste.

Separate collection enables reuse, recycling and proper treatment of waste equipment. This recovers valuable raw materials and helps prevent adverse effects on the environment and human health.

2. Removal of Batteries, Rechargeable Batteries and Lamps

Waste batteries, rechargeable batteries and lamps that can be removed from the waste equipment without destroying them must be removed before the equipment is handed in and disposed of separately.

This does not apply where waste equipment is handed in at a public collection point and separated there from other waste equipment for the purpose of preparing it for reuse.

Particular care must be taken when handling batteries and rechargeable batteries containing lithium. Damage and short circuits must be avoided.

3. Return Options

Waste electrical and electronic equipment can be handed in free of charge at collection points operated by public waste-management authorities, such as municipal recycling centres.

A directory of suitable collection and return points is available in the collection-point directory maintained by Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register.

Where a statutory return option applies in a particular case, or where we voluntarily offer one, details will be provided with the relevant product or during checkout.

4. Personal Data

Waste equipment may contain personal or other sensitive data. End users are responsible for permanently deleting this data from the equipment before disposal.

In particular, remove stored login details, user accounts, Wi-Fi credentials and personal settings.

5. Waste Prevention and Reuse

Before disposing of a device, consider whether it can be repaired, used for longer or prepared for reuse. Extending a device’s service life helps prevent waste and conserve natural resources.

6. Manufacturer Registration

Alexander Konzack, trading as AK-Motion, is registered as a producer of electrical and electronic equipment with Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register.
