How We Collect Data
We receive personal data in particular when you visit our shop, create a customer account, place an order, purchase a download or service, contact us, submit a product comment or subscribe to our newsletter. In addition, technically necessary data, especially your IP address, access time and browser and device information, is processed automatically.
Purposes of Processing
We process personal data in particular to operate the online shop securely, manage customer accounts, process orders and payments, ship goods, supply digital content and services, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse and—with your consent—display external media and maps or send newsletters.
2. Hosting
Alfahosting
This website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. When you visit our website, Alfahosting processes server log data, including IP addresses. This processing is necessary for the secure, stable and efficient provision of our online services and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. General Information on Data Processing
Legal Bases
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where you have given consent;
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary for a contract or pre-contractual measures;
- Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party and your interests do not override them.
Where information is stored on or accessed from your terminal device, Section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) also applies. We use non-essential cookies and similar technologies only with your consent.
Recipients of Personal Data
We disclose personal data only where this is necessary to perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, where you have consented or where another legal basis permits disclosure. Recipients may include hosting and IT service providers, payment service providers, banks, shipping carriers, tax and legal advisers and public authorities. Processors are engaged under agreements pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
Transfers to Third Countries
Some service providers may process data outside the European Union or European Economic Area. Where no European Commission adequacy decision applies, transfers are based in particular on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another safeguard permitted by law. For US companies certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, transfers may be based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision.
Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Contractual and accounting records are retained in accordance with statutory commercial and tax retention periods. Data processed solely on the basis of consent is deleted after consent is withdrawn unless another legal basis or retention obligation applies.

5. Technical Data and Cookies
Server Log Files
When you access the website, we process in particular your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, browser type and version and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website, analyse errors and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our shop uses technically necessary cookies, for example for the shopping cart, login, language preferences, security and session management. These functions are necessary to provide the shop service requested by the user.
External media, maps and other non-essential services are activated only with your consent. You can change your choices at any time through the privacy settings provided on the website. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Contact
Contact Form, Email and Telephone
If you contact us using a contact form, by email or by telephone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, order number, vehicle details and the content of your message.
Where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding properly to enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7. Customer Account and Registration
You may create a customer account. We process in particular your name, title, email address, addresses, login credentials, order history and any information you provide voluntarily. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
Processing is necessary to provide the customer account and perform current or future contracts under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Voluntary information is processed on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may request deletion of your customer account. Contractual and accounting data subject to statutory retention duties will remain stored in restricted form until the relevant period expires.
8. Orders, Contracts and Customer Administration
When you place an order, we process the data necessary to perform the contract, including:
- your name and contact details;
- billing and delivery addresses;
- goods, digital content or services ordered;
- order, contract, payment and delivery status;
- communications concerning the order; and
- vehicle or installation details provided voluntarily, where applicable.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We additionally process records required by tax and commercial law under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Digital Content and Downloads
When supplying digital content, we additionally process technical evidence of supply and access, in particular the date and time, customer account, order number and IP address, where necessary for contract performance, prevention of misuse or proof of proper supply.
If you consent to supply before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledge the possible loss of the right of withdrawal, we also store those declarations and their timestamp. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR.
Services
When services are ordered and performed, we process the information necessary for planning, communication, performance and billing. This may include vehicle data, technical information, logs and support communications. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
9. Payment Processing
Bank Transfer/Advance Payment
For bank transfers we process in particular your name, IBAN or account information, payment reference, invoice amount and payment date. The participating banks process the information required for the transfer under their own responsibility. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
PayPal, Credit Card and Google Pay via PayPal
We offer payment methods processed through PayPal. The provider is PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. This includes payments through a PayPal account and—where offered at checkout—credit card payments and Google Pay processed through PayPal.
For payment processing, we disclose the required order and payment information to PayPal. This may include your name, address, email address, invoice amount, currency, order number and transaction data. PayPal may collect further payment and identity data directly. As a rule, we do not receive complete credit card details.
When Google Pay is used, Google and participating payment and card providers may additionally process data under their own privacy policies.
Processing for payment and performance of the purchase contract is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Statutory payment and accounting records are processed under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Fraud-prevention measures may be based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

10. Shipping Carriers
For delivery of goods, we disclose the necessary data to the carrier used. This includes in particular your name, delivery address, order or shipment details and—where required for delivery notifications or coordination—your email address and telephone number.
Carriers may include DHL, DHL Express, UPS, FedEx and DPD. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The carriers process disclosed data in connection with transport and delivery partly under their own data-protection responsibility. Details are available in the privacy information of the carrier used.
11. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and the information required to document your subscription. The subscription is secured by a confirmation message where the double opt-in procedure is used.
The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by contacting us.
After unsubscribing, we remove your data from the active mailing list. Your email address may be retained on a suppression list where necessary to prevent further mailings and document the withdrawal. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
12. Product Comments and Reviews
If you comment on or review a product, we process the content submitted, the name or username provided, your email address, the publication time and technical information such as your IP address. This serves publication, administration and prevention of misuse.
Publication is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Processing technical evidence and moderation are based on our legitimate interest in preventing and, where necessary, pursuing unlawful or abusive submissions under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
You may withdraw consent with effect for the future. Statutory retention and evidentiary duties and processing for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims remain unaffected.
13. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms against automated access, spam and misuse. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
reCAPTCHA may process in particular your IP address, browser and device information, referrer URL, time spent on the page, mouse movements and other interaction data and transmit it to Google. Affiliated companies in the United States may process this data.
reCAPTCHA is activated only with your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn through the privacy settings.

We embed Google Maps, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
After you approve the service, a connection to Google is established. Google may process in particular your IP address, device and browser information, the page visited and, where applicable, location data. Processing in the United States is possible.

15. Vimeo Videos
We embed videos supplied by Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA.
Loading a Vimeo video may establish a connection to Vimeo. In particular, Vimeo may process your IP address, device and browser information and information about the page visited. Data transmission cannot be completely ruled out even where a Do Not Track setting is used.
Vimeo content is loaded only with your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw consent at any time through the privacy settings.

16. Locally Hosted Fonts
Google Fonts and Font Awesome
Google Fonts and Font Awesome are hosted locally on this website. Merely visiting our pages therefore does not establish a connection to Google’s or Fonticons’ servers for the purpose of retrieving these fonts.
17. External Social Media and Community Links
Our website contains ordinary links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and a WhatsApp community. Merely visiting our shop does not establish a connection to those platforms through these links.
Only when you click a link do you leave our shop. The relevant provider then receives in particular your IP address, browser and device information and, where applicable, the page from which you arrived. If you are logged in to the provider, the visit may be associated with your account.

Some content contains affiliate links to Amazon. When you click such a link, you are redirected to Amazon. Amazon receives in particular your IP address, browser and device information, referrer URL and the identifier contained in the affiliate link. Amazon may use cookies or similar technologies to determine whether a qualifying purchase follows the visit.
